Erika Roberts is the founder of Heart & Soil Consulting, where she helps mission-driven organizations build the confidence and capacity to leverage AI to further their mission impact.
As a Certified AI Consultant, communications strategist, and trainer with over 20 years of experience across federal and state government, nonprofit leadership, community engagement, human resources, marketing, media, and ministry, Erika brings a unique combination of strategic thinking and practical implementation to every engagement.
As a former Community Relations Specialist for a national service organization AmeriCorps NCCC, she built relationships with faith-based and community organizations, businesses, colleges and universities across Mississippi and the Southern region. Her work sits at the intersection of strategy, communication, and people—helping organizations build clarity, strengthen systems, and serve others more effectively.
Through Heart & Soil Consulting, Erika helps mission-driven organizations adopt AI in practical, responsible ways that align with their values. Her approach is grounded, thoughtful and focused on people — not just technology.
A Louisiana native and LSU alumna with a degree in News-Editorial Journalism, Erika has called Mississippi home for the past 17 years. She and her husband raised their four children and mentored many others.
